The office
What happens between Monday’s first lesson and Sunday night — and how little of it needs you.
Teachers open today on their phone, tap Present, and say a few words — the lesson note is written up and shared with the family.
Your cancellation policy decides: not charged, and a make-up is owed — with an expiry date the family can see.
From the teacher’s real free hours, on their phone. You approve with one tap, or let bookings confirm themselves.
Emily records her piece; her teacher replies with feedback, and the video lands under the piece’s stage — learning, polishing or ready.
GST tax invoices go out on schedule; families pay from the link, receipts are e-mailed, and late fees apply only if you want them.
Post the event, families tap Going, and everyone gets a push notification when the room changes.
Every teacher’s pay worked out from what they taught, paid by Stripe or an ABA bank file, with a statement each.
Every one of them is described in full on its feature page.
The lesson
Muzeqo started in a teaching studio, not a software company.
“Why isn’t my child progressing?”
Every piece has a stage — learning, polishing, ready — and a lesson note after every lesson. Progress is on the family’s phone the same day, not at the recital.
“Where is the term report?”
The teacher’s notes become the report: what was covered, progress, repertoire, next term’s focus and what to do at home. The office sees which are written and which are owed.
Lesson notes and term reports are written up for you where the school turns Drafts with Muzeqo AI on.
At home
Play a piece: over 1,700 free-to-use pieces as sheet music and falling notes, with 1,500 pieces for guitar and 700 for ukulele on a tab highway, the player listening on the device — a cabled digital piano, the microphone, or the guitar — and Muzeqo AI at the piano beside the student. Nothing from the microphone is recorded or sent unless the family chooses to share a take.
The stage
For a family with its own Learn at home or full-access subscription.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
7 of Muzeqo’s own public-domain songs today, with the Sunfly licensed catalogue when it is licensed. 5 animated lyric looks, a family party with a dice game and an awards poster, challenges between families at the same school, and singing scored on the device — numbers only are saved.
Pick a style — 57 in 12 families, Pop to Hazaragi — a progression, a key and a tempo. The band leaves your part out; record over it and publish to the family wall.
The child’s pathway drawn as worlds to cross; a flag on each finished world and the next one in fog until it is reached.
A level from Beginner to Grade 8 and badges, updated each night
How it is built
Muzeqo is one application with three portals, and every school is its own tenant: the database itself keeps one school’s rows from another, so the rule holds for every page, export and feed, not just the menus. The practice player runs on the family’s own device and listens there. Muzeqo AI is your school’s assistant — notes, reports and replies — on only when you switch it on.

Not an overseas product with the currency changed: choose Australia, New Zealand or Canada and the school year, the tax invoice and the phone numbers follow.
Made by Muzeqo Pty Ltd in Australia, for schools in Australia, New Zealand and Canada — said “Music Co.”.
Pricing
Lessons, invoices, messages and events are unlimited on every plan; the plans differ in how many teachers, students and host schools they cover and how many texts a month are included, and School adds video lessons and your own number or sender name. Solo is 1 teacher; Studio up to 6; School has no limits.
30-day free trial, no card needed. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST; New Zealand and Canadian schools pay in their own dollars, with no tax added.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply to every plan and are not excluded by our terms; in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies where it covers you. Families at a school never pay the school for the practice tools.

Many teachers, rooms and instruments. The office keeps the calendar, invoices families, pays teachers and talks to everyone from one place; each teacher sees only their own students.
Your own students, your own invoices, your own calendar, on a plan sized for one teacher. Sign-up asks “just me?” and hides the parts of the app a solo teacher never needs.
A timetable per host school, that school’s hours and clear windows, closures per school, and a planner that turns a school’s spreadsheet into term-time lessons.
One login across every school you own or work at, a business switcher, and a named group of schools for navigation. Each school stays its own tenant; no data is ever merged.
Moving in
Most schools go from an empty account to their first invoice inside a week, without a migration project. Here is the usual order.
Day 1
Sign up with a password, a passkey or Google, name your school and choose “just me” or “a school or studio”. The 30-day trial starts with no card.
Day 1
On the Terms page, one click adds your state’s four school terms and the public holidays that fall on school days.
Day 2
Upload your student, teacher and lesson-type spreadsheets. The wizard matches the columns, previews every row, and can be undone.
Day 3
Create recurring term-time series on the calendar, or lay out each host-school day in the planner. Conflicts are flagged before you save.
Day 4
Lesson types with GST, each student’s billing plan, your cancellation policy, and the pay rule for each teacher.
Day 5
Single-use invite links. Teachers land on today’s lessons; families see their children, notes and invoices.
Week 2
Turn on automatic invoicing — drafts first if you like — and families pay by card from their phone.
Moving from another system or a spreadsheet
Bring students, families, teachers and lesson types across with the CSV import wizard, then let the setup assistant walk you to your first invoice. Send us a sample export and we will tell you exactly what comes across.
Questions
Yes. Every new school starts on a 30-day free trial with no limit on teachers, students or host schools and 100 text messages to try, and no card is needed to begin. When the trial ends, nothing is deleted — only new additions are capped until a plan is chosen.
An Australian school pays in Australian dollars, GST included, billed through Stripe with a tax invoice showing the GST. A New Zealand school pays in New Zealand dollars and a Canadian school in Canadian dollars, with no tax added by Muzeqo. Your own invoices to families are GST tax invoices with your rate and your choice of GST-inclusive or exclusive prices.
Music schools with several teachers and rooms, studios, independent and in-home teachers, and teachers who visit primary and secondary schools. Sign-up asks whether you are setting up “just me” or “a school or studio that assigns teachers”, and the app shapes itself accordingly.
“Music Co.” — Muzeqo is said exactly like “music co”, as in a music company (/ˈmjuːzɪkoʊ/). The spelling is our own; the sound is the plain English words.
Yes, in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. In New Zealand the Ministry of Education’s terms, Matariki and your region’s anniversary day; in Canada each province’s statutory holidays, with a guide to the school year you trim to your board’s. In Australia, one click adds a year’s government-school terms and the public holidays that fall on a school day for your state or territory, as closure dates that repeating lessons skip. The next year is added each October and public holidays are checked against the Australian Government dataset on data.gov.au three times a year.
Yes, through Stripe Checkout in your school’s currency, from the family portal. Families can save a card and opt in to Auto Pay. Payments land in your school’s own Stripe account; Stripe’s own per-transaction fee applies, plus 0.5% to Muzeqo on each online payment. Invoices paid by cash or bank transfer cost nothing.
No. Teachers see only the students assigned to them and the groups they run. The office sees everyone; finance roles alone see money; families see their own children. These rules are enforced in the database, not just in the menus.
Yes. The CSV import wizard recognises the headers other systems export, previews every row with its problems, imports through the same code as the forms and can be undone. Send us a sample export and we will tell you exactly what comes across.
Each plan includes texts: 50 texts a month on Solo, 200 texts a month on Studio and 1,000 texts a month on School. Reminders and notices go from Muzeqo’s verified number, signed with your school’s name; on the School plan you can have your own number or sender name instead ($99 one-off setup (incl. GST)), for texts in your own words and two-way texting. E-mail and in-app messages are unlimited.
No. One login can own or work at several schools, and a business switcher moves between them. Each school stays its own tenant — nothing is merged.
The teacher and family portals are websites built for phones that can be added to the home screen, with passkey sign-in (Face ID, fingerprint). There is nothing to install from an app store and nothing to update.
In a PostgreSQL database with row-level security separating every school. Only your school’s members see your school’s data, each according to their role, and sensitive changes are written to an audit log. Ask us for the current hosting provider and region before you sign up.
E-mail support on every plan, priority support on School, a guided set-up call for any school that asks, and help reading your old system’s export. Enquiries are answered by a person who knows the product, usually within one business day.
